Liam turns 4 months today and hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!

Liam is 4 months today!  I cannot believe it, it seems like yesterday he was born.  His 4 month checkup is not until another week, so I weighed him on our home scale and he weighs 16.6 lbs.  What a chunky monkey!  It doesn't surprise me because carrying him around in his car seat has become unbearable and he wears anywhere from 9-12 month clothes.  I am not used to this rapid growth because O has always been on track for height and weight.
So far Liam continues to be a great baby.  Everyone warned us that since our first baby was so good that our second will be a problem child, but that does not seem to be the case.  He still sleeps until 4:45 am, eats great, and is pretty content, mostly getting fussy when he is tired and about to fall asleep.  Everyone also said that a baby boy loves his Momma like nothing else, which is totally true.  O always seemed like a very independent baby that did not need a lot of cuddling, but that is all Liam wants to do, especially with me.  When I walk into a room or he hears my voice his face lights up with the biggest smile, warming my heart.   It is the purest form of unconditional love I have ever felt.  A mother son bond is a special thing.
Here are some pics of Liam hanging out in our cabin bed on the Disney Cruise, one of his favorite spots.  My little snuggle bug!  I purposely left his binky in the pics because we have similar pics of O and I thought it was too cute.

He is our little angel full of love and joy.  Our family is more complete with Liam in our lives.

Happy Halloween and Happy 3 Months Liam!

I cannot believe it is Halloween already and Liam turned 3 months this week!  Time is flying by and before we know it, we will be going on a Disney Cruise in November.  I cannot wait  to spend time with the Woodall's, Barrett's, and Bush's on a Caribbean cruise, our first.
"Trick or treat smell my feet, give me something good to eat"!
Keeping our tradition alive we made some seasonal art.  This season's art was particularly special since it was Liam's first masterpiece.  My inspiration of course came from Pinterest and I just love how our foot ghosts came out.  Although getting foot and hand prints from a 2 month old is challenging.

Next was pumpkin hand prints with our names painted in the vines.  I couldn't be more in love with our pumpkin patch family!
Ever since O received the Wizard of OZ pop up book from her Nina Bush, she has been talking about being Dorothy for Halloween.  The catalog, Chasing Fire Flies, had a whole family dressed up as all the characters.  She begged me to be Glenda the good witch, Daddy the tin man, Liam the lion, and Milo and sunny would be the wicked witch and scare crow.  She told me that I needed to have more babies, so we could have all the characters.
During the holidays, downtown Hammonton puts on a lot of great activities and events for families.  One of which being a downtown trick or treat where businesses hand out candy.  Before we left Dorothy had to ham it up for the camera.  She is a girl of a thousand faces, definitely my child.

Not sure what she is doing here,
but I know what it looks like.  Silly girl :))

Games, games and more games.

I adore little Annie in the background.

It is hard to get a perfect shot of these two, who are in perpetual motion.

Dorothy and the Butterfly against Superman, who is going to win?

Two days before Halloween is the Hammonton Halloween parade.  The parade is full of floats, costumes, performances and marching bands.  Every year, O begs me to be in the parade with her, so this year I gave in and said yes.  What I didn't know when we were lining up to be in the parade is that you can sign in and be judged for your costume and float.  We were lucky enough to be invited onto a Wizard of Oz float that depicted the Emerald City with a toddler tin man and Dorothy standing next to a scare crow.  It was perfect and I just wished I bought that Glenda costume instead of rummaging through old ballet costumes, sporting a Fraulein tutu. But I have to admit I got a kick out of being Fraulein the beer wench, ha! I think I created one of Cha's fantasies.  Liam kept looking at me like, "what did you do with my momma"?
I was going to include Liam in the parade as either a cow or dragon.  I had a hard time deciding, which one he would be because I was planning on him wearing O's first Halloween cow costume, but he looked too cute in the dragon.  Unfortunately he sat the parade out because he was developing a cold.  Can't wait to take him trick or treating around the neighborhood!

Taking flight!

Silly Fraulein!

A "little" beer before the parade

O and I waiting for the parade to start, she was beyond excited as you can see.  I have to admit it was pretty fun.

Maybe next year we can get Daddy involved and create our own theme float, like a 65 helo with little pilots.  That would be awesome!
Tomorrow is Halloween and O's school is having their own parade and party, which I will help out with.  So excited to be involved in her classroom events on Halloween!

Two Months Old and Counting

I cannot believe our little man is two months old already.  Liam turned two months old about 13 days ago, but we didn't have his official check up until this week.  His stats are 23 inches for height (52%), 13.13 lbs for weight (91%), and 16 1/4 for head circumference (80%).  As you can see he is growing like a weed and we couldn't be happier to have such a healthy happy boy.  He has already grown out of two outfits and it made me so sad to put them away.
As of late, he has started to interact with us more and more.  Smiling and cooing, as if he is having a conversation.  Every time he coo's, Miss O asks, "What did he say?", as if his coo's mean something in particular.
He was content as always at the Doc's office, only crying when he received his two shots.  The shots really set him off, but it was amazing how my voice alone quickly calmed him down and seemed to make everything better.  Liam and I have a very special bond that started the three days I spent with him in the hospital.  When I was pregnant, everyone who had boys would try to explain the unique bond a Mama has with her son and vice versa.   I now know what they were talking about.
Always looking around

Liam showing off his neck control during tummy time.  The Doc was really impressed how high and long he held his head up.  Even in the hospital he would lift his head up when you held him on your chest.  Liam is very strong all over which can make taking clothes on and off especially challenging.
Liam continues to be a good eater and sleeper.  Right now he takes about 32 oz of formula a day and sleeps accumulatively on average about 7-8 hrs a night.  We put him down to sleep at 9 pm and his first wake up for a bottle is around 3:45-4:30 am, he then sleeps to about 6:30-7:30 am.  Last night he woke up at 5 am and then went back to bed until 8 am, which is almost like sleeping through the night!  It took O 4 months to completely sleep through the night.  I thank my lucky stars everyday to have kids that are good sleepers.
The last touches to Liam's nursery are finally done.  Above Liam's crib I took down and re-hung the ultrasound pics on another wall, replacing them with three pics taken of Liam in the hospital and a sign.

The airplane sign is by KellyAvenue on Etsy.  It's an MDF board with a pilots chart/flight map that is stained.  The flight map actually displays the airways of South Jersey to include Voorhees, where he was born and Hammonton, where he lives.  The vintage inspired airplane, along with his name and year he was born is hand painted.  She did a great job and not sure what I would do without Etsy!
Another Etsy purchase and final touch is an airplane mobile by Dundryhill.  Liam loves to stare and coo at the ceiling fan, so we thought he would enjoy looking at planes flying around a cloud instead.  As far as we can tell he really likes it, it is only a matter of time when he is able to sit up and reach for it.

Liam's view point while laying in the crib.

When Liam turned 1 month old,  Cindy Oldham was so sweet to come over and take pics of Liam and the family.  She caught some really sweet moments.  Reflecting back on these pics it amazes me how much Liam has changed in such a short period of time.
