Eve of Liam's Birth and his Nursery!

Tomorrow, July 28th at 7:30 a.m Liam Charles Bush will be born!  Charlie and I will get up bright and early to be at the hospital by 5:30 a.m.  I don't mind the early time since the past week or so that is about the time I am already up.  I haven't been able to sleep past 6:30 a.m due to anxiousness of impending c-section, possible contractions, or just because I am super prego and uncomfortable.
I cannot believe tomorrow is D day!  This pregnancy flew by at warp speed for me!
I was going through my camera today deleting pics and making room for all the new memories we will make tomorrow.  I came across a pic Miss O took during the last belly pic session that I must of missed.  It is her first pic ever taken with my camera and I had to include it in this post because I thought she did a really good job.  She might have an eye.

Well, the nursery is complete!  Although I hope to add black and white pics of Liam and a piece of art from Etsy to go over his crib, but other than that it is done.  It has been a work in progress ever since I found out I was prego.
The first project was finding a dresser, which we found with matching step stool at the Antique Market in Hammonton.  I planned on up cycling the dresser and painting it grey, but decided being prego was probably not the best time to take on up cycling a piece of furniture.  Tara who works at the Antique Shop and sells her own up cycled items agreed to do the work for me.  Here is the before of the dresser and step stool:

Here is the after:

The dresser is gray and the knobs are the original wood along with the top of the dresser.  The step stool is a distressed bright orange, that almost looks red in the pic.  I helped Tara distress the stool, which was fun.
I also a bought a bed side table from Tara, which she painted the same grey and I found an antique orange metal knob from Ebay for the drawer:

Hot Air balloons Cha and I made.

Shelves over the changing table.  Two of the toys
are an antique air plane hanger and car track

Bedding from Etsy

Toy crate as a gift from my brother, sister-in-law, and sister.
Love the antique crate and orange casters by Serena and Lily.

The ultrasound pics are temporary.

Drapes are a gift from CG baby shower.
Orange origami book shelf from Land of Nod.

I hope Liam likes his nursery, ha!  I mean it is really for us than him at this point.  But I had so much fun decorating, I love the creativity and whimsy of kids rooms.

38 Weeks Final Belly Pics

Due to the fact that I had contractions last night and this morning I decided to not wait and take my final belly pics.  This day next week is my scheduled c-section.  Being so close to my due date and having contractions makes me realize it is possible that I could have this baby at any moment.
So literally one of the first things I asked my husband when he got home from work is "lets take some belly pics".  I feel like a ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment and I really don't want my last belly pics to be of me on a hospital gurney. ;)
Just like the previous belly pics these were taken in Liam's nursery.  The nursery is about 90% done, with just some last min decorative things to be completed.  Hopefully at the end of this week it will all be done and I can take some pics of the final product.

Cha and I made the hot air balloon, working on the last one

In the home stretch!!  Wish us luck!

Family Visit Over the 4th of July

On June 26th, Mother-in-law, Lois/Nina, Sister-in-law, Carolynn and nieces and nephew Jane, Callahan, and Evans packed their car full for the long voyage from Birmingham, AL to Hammonton, NJ.  They arrived just in time to celebrate Lois's and my B-Day, as well as enjoy Olivia's first dance recital.
The cousins had a fun filled time together playing in the sprinklers, going to Diggerland, Johnson's Corner Farm, and beach days in Cape May.  Unfortunately, Hurricane Arthur rained out the 4th for all of NJ and most of Eastern Pennsylvania.  All of the festivities were delayed and the 5th became the day to celebrate the 4th with a sun filled day at the beach, culminating with a fireworks display on the beach.
Here are just a few pics of some of the family at play during their stay!  Yes, I meant to make that rhyme ;).  Majority of these pics were taken by Carolynn, so I cannot take credit for them.

Can you tell they are all related!

Sweet baby Jane, growing up too fast

She really loved sitting in Liam's rocking chair, and looked too cute in it!
Looking at these pics makes me realize how blessed our families have been with some really great kiddos.  It seems no matter how much time and space seperates us, we pick up were we left off.  I am so glad we got some time to spend together before the arrival of Liam, and our world is turned up side down.
I cannot believe I will be entering my 37th week with only 17 more days until my scheduled C-Section.  A lot of people have been warning me that I might go into labor before July 28th.  I am not really worried about it, I have been oscillating between a scheduled C-section and a V-back this entire preganacy. So, if I naturally go into labor than it was meant to be and I will try for a V-back.  Being a coastie wife, I have learned to be flexible and just roll with the flow, none of us actually have complete control in our lives anyway.
Two weeks out, I am physically over being pregnant.  I have reached the point in my pregnancy called the "Humpty-Dumpty" stage, where I literally feel like a clumsy oversized egg.  I trip over my own two feet, can barely get up stairs without catching a toe, and have to ask my daughter to pick things off the floor because bending over is down right sad.
This past week Liam has dropped a lot and has become extremely heavy, causing sleep to be quite uncomfortable.  Last night I had to sleep sitting up on the couch because laying on my side is not very comfortable and laying on your back is not recommended, it's impossible anyway. My poor feet have also become unnaturally bloated, my right foot actually has a kankle.  Flip flops are about the only shoes that I can fit into.
But I am in the home stretch and no matter how difficult the next two weeks will be, it will all be worth it in the end when we meet our little Liam!
